Repeats of TV comedy classic, Last of The Summer Wine are usually shown on Sunday afternoon, but On Wednesday afternoon, The Prince Albert Golf Society staged its own version.
Geoff Richman, Billy Bee and Simon Cooper (all pictured above) played Compo, Cleggy and Fogg respectively to take the 1st three places, with only one shot between them all. To keep the comedy theme going, Ian Lodge did a rather good impersonation of Blakey from On The Buses, but only all day long.
Billy Bee also took the Longest Drive with a duck-hook and Joe took the rest of the prizes, winning Most Golf Played, Nearest The Pin and Twos Sweep, the latter being shared with Billl House.
In the absence of Tim Godden, some of the chasing pack caught up a few points in the Player of the Season 2008 competition with 4 players sitting within a handful of shots.
Two society events remain at Weald of kent and North Foreland in August and September respectively.
