The end of season event saw a bumper turn out at The Weald Of Kent Golf Club in Headcorn, near Maidstone with 28 players vying for the spoils.

The day started off with a 4-man Texas Scramble event over the first 9 holes which saw the "Old Boys" of Jack Bray, Wally Thorne, Derek Wells and Tim Abbott come back with a gross score of -2, resulting in a net score of -9.8, beating off Mike Lewis, Dave Manley, Ian Lodge and Simon Cooper by on -8.3.

The afternoon 18 holes saw Wally Thorne again fill his bag with more silverware (well plasticware anyway!) with a total of 37 points off 22. Ant Gardener was a point behind and Ken Holmes a point further back.

Steve Taylor won the Longest Drive with a 295 yard effort and Ant Gardener the Nearest The Pin with a shot to 2 feet.

Ken Holmes won £30 on the twos-sweep and Mike Lewis won a fierce battle for the Most Golf Played trophy, beating off competition from Phil. The next event is at The Ridge in Maidstone on October 17th with breakfast at 8.30am.
